The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills We are looking for a Tooling Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of tooling processes and maintenance. This role will involve creating a tool database within Maximo application software that will be used to track tool maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance planning.

Requirements

  • Tooling knowledge on items such as punches, dies and fixtures
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of tooling applications and maintenance procedures
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and environment
  • Maximo Application Knowledge highly preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work onsite in Urbana, Ohio in tool room to gather data on all tools used
  • Create a tool database within Maximo application
  • Coordinate with onsite technicians and experts to gather tooling data and requirements for Maximo application
  • Maintain and update tooling database within Maximo application to ensure system is running
  • Stay current with tooling and manufacturing processes
  • Successful candidate may be asked to assist onsite tooling technician teams with additional tasks due to extended leaves during scope of work
