Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer with expertise in Mill-Turn Machining to join our high-performance team. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Leader and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY. As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you will:

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate’s degree with 6+ years, or a High School diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of Mill-Turn CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product.
  • Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to work effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability.
  • Be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications.
  • Assist in estimating costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development.
