Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Associate for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to join the Missiles and Fire Control Manufacturing Engineering team supporting the Circuit Card Assembly Electrical Operations. The sustainment Manufacturing Engineer Asc is responsible for supporting sustainment and manufacturing processes for circuit card assemblies. Develops, creates, and maintains work instructions, task lists, and re-work/repair instructions from non conformance notifications. The role also involves identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans ,lead manufacturing process line validation activities, driving cost reduction initiatives to closure, support testing and hardware or tooling related issues that may arise, and any other program related manufacturing or tooling issues that may arise. This position will initiate and support process improvements for electrical area and interfaces with shop floor personnel, shop management, and program management to drive collaboration across the shops and the labs. In a culture of continuous improvement, our department utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive affordability and efficiency. Working with an integrated team which includes customers, suppliers and other functional personnel, non-conformances are identified, trended and resolved in a timely manner. As a vital member of the team, a Manufacturing Engineer at Missiles and Fire Control evaluates designs and provide manufacturing feedback to lead to affordable and manufacturable designs while still meeting performance requirements. The ability to question design requirements that drive cost to ensure there is good technical justification is desired.
