About The Position

Boeing Aerospace Operations San Antonio Engineering team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Associate and Experienced) to support Executive Fleet Programs. The role involves participating on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines, developing and implementing conceptual designs, leading manufacturing plans, conducting producibility analyses, and resolving technical problems that impact performance, cost, or schedule. The engineer will also coordinate new engineering principles and validate production readiness of solutions to complex problems, while implementing lean principles and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 3: 5+ years of experience.
  • 1+ or more years 747 commercial aircraft (or similar) maintenance knowledge.
  • 1+ or more years related Shipside experience (supporting operations and quality).
  • 1+ or more years experience with data analysis (Excel, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
  • 1+ years' experience with IVT.
  • Experience with CATIA.
  • Experience with GoldEsp.

Responsibilities

  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
  • Leads and implements manufacturing plans and nonconformance plans.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
  • Implements lean principles and technologies.
  • Works with Industrial Engineering and IPT to sequence and integrate systems hardware installations with modification plan.
