About The Position

Develop and design capacity planning models for optimized loading and improved line utilization Support sites to evaluate existing equipment and tooling for safety, capacity, capability and efficiency optimization Develop detailed technical specifications for new equipment and management of capital projects Develop standards for optimized workflow, material handling and workplace layout. Support sites with new product launch and process validation Work with design engineering to help incorporate design for manufacturing elements into product development Provide training, guidance and technical support to site manufacturing personnel which may include mfg. Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Pro Launch through the creation of Process Maps, Standard Work, Takt Times, Potential Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analysis for production lines Work with sites to generate efficiency and technology roadmaps to sustain and drive line optimization Support EQS initiatives with particular focus on PFMEA and Control plans Support development of standard work and work center instructions for all related fabrication processes Work with sites on investment roadmaps to optimize capital and expenses

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering and/or plant operations
  • Manufacturing experience in assembly line design and assembly processes which include wiring, metal components installation, material flow and replenishment, testing, packaging and on-line inspection
  • Strong background in complex assemblies, automation, process development and equipment selection
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial)
  • Experience in a complex manufacturing setting that produces variable, complex or engineered-to-order products
  • LEAN Six Sigma Yellow or Black belt certification
  • Ability to lead projects
