About The Position

The position involves troubleshooting new or existing product problems related to designs, materials, or processes. The candidate will design, develop, and implement safe and cost-effective complex equipment and methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing. Responsibilities include defining processes and methods for high volume manufacturing, performing virtual builds, and creating sequences of assembly. The role also requires conducting root cause investigations and recommending corrective actions for operational problems, such as material use variances and bottlenecks during the manufacturing process. The candidate will identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and follow through on resolutions to reduce costs, improve product quality, and cycle time. Additionally, the position involves reviewing and developing designs that enhance product manufacturability and assembly, coordinating new product builds in pilot production, and creating and releasing engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM) using the Engineering Change Management process. The development of a handoff package to facilitate product transition to high volume manufacturing is also a key responsibility.
