About The Position

The position serves as the first point of contact for chassis line issues, ensuring that all assigned QIRP action items are maintained and completed. The individual will review work and complete tasks assigned in PLM, while adhering to all safety policies, rules, and procedures. The role is responsible for overseeing production processes and ensuring the necessary tooling and equipment are in place to produce high-quality products with high operator efficiency. Additionally, the position requires the provision of required personal hand tools.

Requirements

• Overall knowledge of bus body/chassis construction; departmental tools/equipment
• Technical ability to work from rough sketches or mark prints
• Able to adjust quality level to job at hand
• Knowledgeable of all tools and equipment in department
• Print reading/comprehension, MS Office, PLM, LN, BBOND, BOSS
• Ability to weld (tig, arc, mig) in order to fabricate assembly fixtures, tools and jigs
• Ability to work on several jobs at once
