About The Position

The position serves as the first point of contact for chassis line issues, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. The individual will maintain and complete assigned QIRP action items, review work, and complete tasks assigned in PLM. Adherence to all safety policies, rules, and procedures is mandatory. The role is responsible for the production processes and the necessary tooling/equipment to produce high-quality products with high operator efficiency. Additionally, the individual will provide required personal hand tools.

Requirements

• Overall knowledge of bus body/chassis construction; departmental tools/equipment
• Technical ability to work from rough sketches or mark prints
• Able to adjust quality level to job at hand
• Knowledgeable of all tools and equipment in department
• Print reading/comprehension, MS Office, PLM, LN, BBOND, BOSS
• Ability to weld (tig, arc, mig) in order to fabricate assembly fixtures, tools and jigs
• Ability to work on several jobs at once
