About The Position

The Manufacturing Electrician/Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and continuous operation. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as a commitment to safety and quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma minimum.
  • Journeyman Electrician or Electrical Apprentice License
  • 3+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial setting or equivalent experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read schematics and equipment manuals to repair equipment and order parts from approved vendors as necessary.
  • Experience with fabrication, electrical, hydraulic, fluid transfer.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to work overtime and call-outs as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all level of the organization.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs as well as routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment, including mixers, conveyors, pumps, motors, valves, packaging lines and facility infrastructure as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and test equipment as necessary to solve problems and pro-actively prevent them.
  • Ability to cut, thread, bend, and strap electrical conduit as needed.
  • Ability to cut, thread, and install black pipe as needed.
  • Install and commission new equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
