Job Description Jabil has an exciting opportunity at our high volume manufacturing facility in Memphis, TN! We are in need of for an experienced Electrical Engineers with expertise in electronics manufacturing. Multiple openings available and day shift hours! How will you make an impact? The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes to meet production requirements of quality and quantity at lowest possible cost. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, Engineering Services, Safety, and other departments to achieve these goals. This site specializes in electronics manufacturing. Therefore this role with require expertise in electrical engineering. This is an onsite in-person role within a fast paced environment Sponsorship not available for this role.

  • Responsible for new product introduction (NPI) including time studies, equipment selection, line balance data, tooling specifications, manpower requirements, and all aspects of process development
  • Develops methods of operation to increase efficiency and reduce costs by studying product designs, materials, machines, and work flow
  • Designs and develops fixtures, jigs, and tools to facilitate efficient assembly or processing of products
  • Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and practices relating to quality, safety, ergonomics, etc.
  • Establishes production schedules based on production requirements and resources available
  • Works closely with Operations Management to resolve all issues related to throughput, quality, and plant operations
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of activities such as labor utilization, machine performance, production levels, defective rates, etc.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining ISO certification
  • Assist with electrical applications such as troubleshooting electrical wiring and testing of motors and control devices
  • Work safely around moving parts, electrical installations, hot surfaces, and sharp objects
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience: 5 years of hands on professional in mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience electrical concepts such as wiring layouts, electrical design, electrical schematics, etc.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute schematics must be able to make decisions in a fast paced high volume environment
  • Must be able to lead techs and manufacturing personal
  • Strong communication and training skills
  • AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing highly desired
