About The Position

Manufacturing Design Engineer – Take Your Expertise to the Next Level Ready to leverage your experience and make a bigger impact? As a Manufacturing Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in improving processes, introducing new products, and solving complex challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related fields.
  • Solid understanding of fabrication processes (frame/rack, precision machinery, sheet metal, machined parts).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and basic project planning.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to optical, electromechanical, or motion control systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Matlab, JMP, LabVIEW, or scripting languages (Python) is a bonus.
  • Comfortable presenting technical information and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive solutions for manufacturing issues and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with production teams to develop actionable plans and implement corrective measures.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to address product-level challenges using proven problem-solving methods like 7-Step and 8D.
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes, operation sequences, and tooling requirements for new and existing product lines.
  • Configure Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure alignment with factory needs.
  • Perform failure analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance reliability.
  • Interpret and update design drawings and models using CAD tools; apply mechanical considerations such as thermal and airflow analysis.
  • Analyze manufacturing data using MES tools and statistical process control to drive design and process improvements.
  • Support project planning with Gantt charts and milestone tracking.
  • Travel opportunities (up to 25%) to collaborate with teams globally.
