About the position
The Manufacturing Data Processing Lead at Freshpet is responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and utilization of data across manufacturing operations to enhance decision-making and optimize efficiency. This role involves developing ERP data management processes, analyzing production data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align data efforts with organizational goals. The position plays a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that improve manufacturing processes and support sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ERP data management processes for the manufacturing team to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of data validation reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Quality, Engineering, and Production—to align data efforts with organizational goals.
- Establish and enforce best practices for data governance and compliance within the manufacturing environment.
- Manage and assist production supervisors with ERP transactional processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years in a data-centric role within manufacturing or production environments, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and manufacturing-specific ERP/MES systems.
- Strong skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and process optimization methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and data-focused culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex insights to stakeholders at all levels.

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
