About the position

GPI is seeking an experienced cost accountant to manage costing systems and lead improvement projects to meet ever-changing and complex business needs. This position will work with key stakeholders throughout the company to develop and implement costing changes needed for decision-making within the business. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the monthly close process and cross-training in other functional areas to support overall departmental objectives.

Responsibilities

• Own cost accounting processes for US and international manufacturing entities.
• Perform rate calculations and cost rolls.
• Conduct project cost tracking and analysis.
• Reconcile inbound/outbound freight and tariffs and analyze costs.
• Manage transfer pricing structure between entities.
• Maintain country of origin on inventory items.
• Analyze and research inventory variance accounts.
• Lead the analysis and implementation of improvements and adjustments to costing systems as necessary.
• Field adhoc reporting and analysis requests.
• Own and manage fixed asset tracking and reconciliation.
• Support month-end accounting close process and assist in producing monthly financial reports.
• Participate in annual audit.
• Provide backup support for AR and AP processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 1-3 years' experience in a similar corporate environment.
• Prior experience in cost accounting and ERP systems.
• Exceptional MS Excel experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interpret financial documents with clarity.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years' experience in cost accounting.
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
• Demonstrated personal motivation with a focus to complete assigned goals.
• Experience with Cloud Suite Industrial (Syteline) and Jet Reports.
