Vast is looking for a Manufacturing Coordinator, 1st Shift , reporting to the Manager Manufacturing Operations, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. The Manufacturing Coordinator, 1st Shift will support Haven-1 Manufacturing within the Avionics Lab. This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location. Shift Hours: First Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

Requirements

• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• 2+ years of Smartsheet.
• Highly detail oriented and self starter.
• Forklift experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee, monitor, and facilitate the movement of components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure timely progression through our Vast locations.
• Coordinate the physical transfer of components across various stages including purchasing, receiving inspection, inventory, and relevant work centers.
• Coordinate outside processing of components and liaise with the purchasing team to ensure timely delivery.
• Support logistics operations by optimizing workflow staging as necessary.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of system data in collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to align with demands and schedules.
• Generate and maintain reports highlighting requirements, milestones, and limitations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with schedulers, and managers to fulfill action requirements.
• Communicate effectively and escalate issues promptly across various platforms and to specific stakeholders.
• Escalate issues such as part shortages, purchase order delays, and discrepancies in BOM to relevant departments.
• Collaborate with engineers and the planning team on the release of runs.
• Follow schedules through effective planning and shortage management coordination.
