About The Position

As a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Engineer Co-Op at Sargento, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills and experiences in a manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in business, operations, supply chain, engineering, organizational leadership or other related field.
  • Completed year one in a two-year college or sophomore year in a four-year college/university.
  • Passion for learning and growing in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
  • Strength with strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Interest in data collection, analysis, and turning findings into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle required.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to influence individuals and teams in a safe and efficient manner within the manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with implementation and managing the completion of production plans.
  • Apply good leadership techniques to achieve or exceed the expected level of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People related metrics.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on operational data to support continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and problem-solving efforts.
  • Help with ideas to improve current processes.
  • Attend meetings with Supervisors and Managers to gain understanding of current projects/focuses.
  • Participate in problem solving to overcome production related problems, materials shortages, equipment malfunctions and unavoidable delays.
