About The Position

The Manufacturing Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing communication within the manufacturing department and across the branch and onsite network. This position involves collaborating with manufacturing leaders to organize reviews, plan content distribution, and address communication gaps, ultimately supporting manufacturing leadership in navigating business opportunities and challenges.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver's license
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field OR have administrative experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Developing effective manufacturing communication strategies
• Managing internal communications (memos, newsletters, etc.)
• Drafting content for websites and Fastenal stakeholders
• Organizing initiatives and planning events
• Fostering relationships with advocates and key persons
• Collaborating with marketing on external content
• Ensuring follow-up and resolution to issues with quality, delivery, or cost
• Facilitating the resolution of disputes with the branch network or customers
• Assisting in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership
