Pay Range: $78,100.00 - $128,500.00 Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and business-savvy Manufacturing Business Analyst (BA) to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes within our global Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) platform. This role will partner closely with Manufacturing Solution Architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements, define processes, and support ERP + MES implementations across a complex, multi-ERP environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in manufacturing operations and ERP systems , and thrives in a fast-paced transformation environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in manufacturing or ERP environments
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred; AX, SAP, Oracle, or similar acceptable)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: Production orders and shop floor execution Bills of materials (BOMs) and routings Inventory and warehouse operations
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements in a structured way
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business and IT teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) manufacturing modules
  • Exposure to MES systems and shop floor integration concepts
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (life sciences, medical device, etc.)
  • Familiarity with tools such as: Azure DevOps (user stories, backlog management) Visio or Lucidchart (process mapping) Power BI (reporting and analytics)
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global ERP implementations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements

Responsibilities

  • Business Process Analysis Elicit, document, and validate business requirements for manufacturing processes, including: Plan to Produce (forecasting, MRP, production planning) Production execution (shop floor processes, work orders) Inventory and warehouse flows
  • Facilitate workshops with manufacturing stakeholders to understand current-state and define future-state processes
  • Create clear and structured deliverables: Process maps (current/future state) Business requirements documents (BRDs) User stories and acceptance criteria
  • ERP Implementation Support (D365 F&O) Support solution architects in fit/gap analysis and functional design decisions Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned with D365 capabilities Assist with system configuration validation and ensure alignment to business needs Support data migration activities (e.g., BOMs, routings, inventory, work centers)
  • ERP + MES Coordination Help define and document interactions between D365 and MES systems Support mapping of: Production order flows Shop floor data collection Inventory movements and traceability Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood for integrations
  • Testing & Deployment Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Develop test scenarios and scripts Validate end-to-end manufacturing processes Support issue triage, defect tracking, and resolution Assist with cutover planning and go-live readiness
  • Change Management & Training Develop training materials and support end-user training for manufacturing teams Act as a liaison between business users and IT during implementation and post-go-live support Help drive adoption of standardized processes across sites
