About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician will support the end-to-end Manufacturing Process designed to produce electronic communications equipment.Provide immediate response to equipment malfunctions and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Maintain and repair computer-controlled systems and robotic devices in industrial and commercial settings. Perform mfg equipment maintenance according to the schedule and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) documetation Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality as specified in the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) documetation Perform diagnosis of the various automation control systems and test systems using diagrams, schematics, manuals and other documentation provided by the manufacturer and Eng Teams Troubleshoot non-functioning components including motion sensors, control components, photosensors, pneumatic devices, RF systems and other vital technology Install, configure and commission new installs (including hardware upgrades) of robotic systems and production equipment as needed Perform specific automation programing tasks and other services relating to the upkeep of the production equipment Collect and record data in the designated database regarding root cause analysis, corrective actions, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality Monitor process for evaluating and implementing process improvements, assist engineering teams with process changes Establish and maintain effective communications with production, quality, engineering and management personnel Responsible for working in accordance with the training, work procedures, and safety instructions to ensure satisfactory EHS performance Assists production operators in machine configurations, fixture set-ups and adjustments as required The role involves a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of automated processes. Utilize advance technical knowledge to perform tests and analysis of complex hardware problems The duties require the utilization of knowledge of electronics, mechanics, computers and automated systems Familiar with tool and equipment calibration practices; excellent use of hand, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic tools

Requirements

  • 3+ years related experience
  • Education: Associates Degree in EET, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields

Nice To Haves

  • Able to traverse and work on ladders and lifts overhead
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Able to work well within an environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required to support on-going manufacturing operations.
