Manufacturing Associate (WoodCore, 1st Shift 5x8)
About The Position
POSITION PURPOSE Work as part of a team performing routine tasks to support assembly and production of storm door products. Follow established standard work and instructions under general supervision. The assembler may rotate across various workstations (lay up, screw shooter, insert builder, window glazer, kitting, screen roller, hinge assembler, assembly line operator, door pusher). May also serve as a training role. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards for safety, quality, and AMS functions as set by your leader and position. Perform assembly or sub-assembly operations: assembling, packing, labeling, scanning, matching, sequencing, installing, kitting, bagging, glazing, staking, punch pressing. Work from drawings/specifications; use gauges/templates; retrieve parts; ensure quality and dimensional accuracy; complete documentation. Operate simple hand/power tools; make routine adjustments; handle materials (lineal, poly, screen cloth, cardboard, wood, glass, vinyl, aluminum, metal). Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and speak simple sentences
- Must understand verbal/written instructions and standard work.
- Familiarity with American units of measure (lbs., inches, etc.).
- Basic math skills required.
- Basic problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to perform all assembler jobs and rotate as needed.
- Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs.; frequent bending, twisting, gripping, pushing, pulling; repetitive wrist/arm/hand motions; standing/walking 8–10 hours on cement floor.
- Ability to use/read tape measure.
