Job Description: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform various pre-finishing functions on window, door, and misc. parts and pieces from start to finish Advise team members of shortages/quality issues Inspect each phase of pre-finishing to assure quality Review and maintain production dates for completion Identify proper materials and orientating them properly for pre-finishing Assure quality standards understood and they are met Ability to constructively work with others Perform Safety audits Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions Participate in continuous improvement process and other lean initiatives Coach and train new associates Assure conformance with the 5S program Assure compliance with all safety related safety policies and procedures Understand and participate in achieving departmental and company goals Assist with hazardous waste management

Requirements

  • High School Graduate/GED/HSED
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Oral communication skills
  • Basic team skills
  • Basic organizational skills
  • Ability to operate bar coder
  • Physical ability to perform job duties
  • Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision
  • Understanding of related safety policies and procedures
