About The Position

Reporting to the Production Manager and Value Stream Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the department's productivity and quality goals are met. As a leader in integrity and quality, the Manufacturing Associate III is part of a cohesive team manufacturing high-quality products. This diverse and exciting role cross trains in different value streams based on the changing needs of the business. You will interact fluidly with peers, supervisors and cross-functionally work with Quality Control, Logistics, and Process Engineers. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in a LEAN environment. In this position you will work from 6:00AM - 2:30PM EST.

Requirements

  • Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Must be able to use calipers, verniers and other measuring devices as needed.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination.
  • Must have good mechanical skills, trouble shooting ability and a basic knowledge of how to read a blueprint.
  • Must be willing to be crossed trained in multiple areas and flexible in changing routines.
  • Strong communication skills, written as well as verbal.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing process helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run machines as well as monitor their output. Associate would be placed in both machine operations as well as Assembly and hand work.
  • Perform change overs as needed (i.e. changing blades on the machines from large blades to medium blade to small blade).
  • Assemble materials per documentation and prints.
  • Thoroughly inspect raw materials and assembled parts at each step of manufacturing.
  • Use various testing equipment to measure and verify parts are within tolerance/meet specifications.
  • In line packaging, creating labels and pulling required materials from inventory.
  • Keeping inventory in area clean and accurate.
  • Some inspection may be required.
  • Completing all documentation requirements such as: Variable data sheets OEE/Hour by Hour Performance Sheets
  • Participate in our Safety and Lean MFG programs
  • Maintain work area and comply with safety regulations
  • Be a team player and participate on a High-Performance Team
  • Required to work with or around chemicals such as MEK, Acetone, Alcohol, Silicone adhesives and toluene.
  • Other Job Duties as assigned.
