The Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment while maintaining quality. The Operator continually adjusts machine controls, and monitors run conditions. The role includes, but is not limited to: Knows and follows all safety rules and procedures, maximizing production output while maintaining product quality and safe operations, assisting with quality control checks, continual adjustments of gauges and digital control systems that adjust speed, temperature, and air pressure, training Assistant Operators, Manufacturing Helpers, and temporary contractors, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair functions to optimize machinery, using SAP to record daily production and downtime, general maintenance and housekeeping of the area, and other duties as assigned.
