This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency. The Manufacturing Associate (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex technical tasks in production operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality monitoring. Specifics Include: Handle complex technical tasks to support operations and enhance efficiency within defined procedures Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment Manage resources and schedules to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products Maintain accurate daily production records for manufacturing performance analysis Make minor decisions within task scope, requiring enhanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor manufacturing operations to align with business objectives and drive operational excellence Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training Being responsible for meeting job requirements and supporting the organization’s overall regulatory compliance Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory adherence is essential to successful operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • MA Assessment is required for internal candidates only before hire if no technical degree or certification has been acquired
  • Work hours: 36 - 48 hours per week (12-hour rotating day shift: 2 days on, 2 days off, and every other weekend)

  • Associate Degree in Engineering/Science/IT or Technical Certification
  • Prior manufacturing experience is a plus
