Position Summary This position is responsible for assembling and fabricating Cryocooler products, performing tests, documenting results, and reporting progress to management. This role may be performed independently or as part of a team and requires strict adherence to plant safety requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and training documents.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings/blueprints
  • Ability to use and understand precise measuring tools/devices.
  • Technical/mechanical abilities preferred.
  • Basic math knowledge (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and converting fractions and decimals) required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fabricate, and replace components as required
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Keep Supervisor/Manager informed of progress, challenges, and other relevant updates in a timely manner
  • Review production schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine appropriate testing procedures and equipment
  • Ensure work orders reflect the latest revisions before beginning testing procedures
  • Perform assigned tests accurately and efficiently
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
