About The Position

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE – The Manufacturing Associate Assembly 2 will be responsible for a wide variety of manufacturing operations on cables and harnesses. Able to train on high level operations based on the needs of the business. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly. This position’s specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:   KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Must be able to build cable assemblies of varying difficulty. Teaches people how to build cables assemblies. Skilled usage of most equipment in one or more work areas. Understands processes and procedures and recognizes non-conformance or problems in production processes.  Routinely provides training on simple tasks to lower-level Associates.  Routinely communicates to leads and senior manufacturing staff with manufacturing issues and concerns. May include other duties as assigned and/or special projects. Must follow and obey all company policies and procedures. Must be a Team player. Must know MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Intuitive MRP software.  May include other duties as assigned and/or special projects.   QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School or equivalent. 1 year of i3 manufacturing experience or 2 years outside general manufacturing experience. Computer skills and use of computer programs/software specific to the manufacturing process, tracking and traceability of product. May generate routine reports using established computer programs.  Requires visual acuity and manual dexterity. Requires oral communication skills. Must be available for overtime work. Must have superior English reading and writing skills.     PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  1 year minimum of i3 manufacturing experience. 2 years of outside manufacturing experience with the ability to understand the workflow of the production process from raw material to final customer output.  Ability to read manufacturing instructions and interpret manufacturing designs/drawings/diagrams.  Can implement changes in processes flows based on verbal or written guidance.    PHYSICIAL/ENVIRONMENTS REQUIREMENTS:  Requires visual acuity (visual ability to resolve fine detail) and manual dexterity (fine hand and finger movements.) Must be able to stand for periods up to 4 hours. Must be able to lift at least 10lbs frequently; up to 35lbs occasionally, and heavier weights with assistance.
