About The Position

THE MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY SUPERVISOR OVERSEES DAILY ASSEMBLY OPERATIONS, MANAGING TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE EFFICIENT PRODUCTION WHILE MAINTAINING QUALITY STANDARDS AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS. THIS ROLE SERVES AS THE CRITICAL LINK BETWEEN MANAGEMENT AND FRONTLINE PRODUCTION WORKERS, DRIVING PRODUCTIVITY, FOSTERING A POSITIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND ENSURING MANUFACTURING GOALS ARE MET CONSISTENTLY.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing or assembly experience required
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily assembly line operations to meet production schedules and quality targets
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels to optimize efficiency and meet demand
  • Ensure adherence to production standards, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, quality, and safety metrics
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational issues
  • Lead, train, and develop assembly team members to enhance skills and performance
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to direct reports
  • Schedule shifts, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing coverage
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safety awareness
  • Monitor product quality throughout the assembly process and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Investigate quality issues and work with Quality Assurance to resolve defects
  • Lead or participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate production records, timekeeping, and documentation
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
  • Coordinate with other departments including maintenance, quality, planning, and logistics
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control initiatives
  • Support new product launches and process improvements
