We are seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team in a hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Engineer on our Second shift. This position plays a critical role in driving efficiency, maintaining product quality, and leading the evening production team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of making real-time decisions to support smooth operations during off-peak hours. Shift Details: Second Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM] Must be flexible to support occasional extended hours or Friday coverage based on production needs.

  • Design and improve manufacturing processes, work cells, and line flow for efficiency.
  • Monitor swing shift operations to identify bottlenecks or waste and drive process improvements.
  • Implement Lean/6S initiatives to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
  • Provide technical support for machines, tooling, and equipment during the swing shift.
  • Ensure products manufactured during swing shift meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct in-shift inspections, audits, and quality verifications.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for any swing shift quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation throughout the shift.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of combined experience in manufacturing, quality control, or production leadership.
  • Previous experience working a swing shift or in a 2nd shift leadership role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, quality systems, and process improvement methods.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, especially during off-hour shifts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and ERP systems.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, CQE, or similar.
  • Experience with machining, assembly, or fabrication environments.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
