Inside the Role The Maintenance / Facility Manager oversees all plant maintenance, facilities operations, and infrastructure systems to ensure maximum uptime, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within a heavy duty truck manufacturing environment. This role leads a multi disciplinary maintenance team, manages preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and partners closely with production leadership to support continuous improvement and zero defect manufacturing. We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting salary range of $128,000 - $164,000 USD Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. What You Drive at DTNA 1. Maintenance Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, and facilities personnel. Manage daily maintenance activities to support production schedules and minimize equipment downtime. Create a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement 2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Develop and manage preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs for all plant equipment, including assembly lines, robotics, CNC machines, paint systems, and material‑handling equipment. Utilize CMMS tools to schedule work orders, track equipment performance, and analyze failure patterns. 3. Facility & Infrastructure Management Oversee plant infrastructure systems: HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air, water systems, fire suppression, building automation, and general facility upkeep. Manage vendors, contractors, and service partners for facility-related projects. 4. Equipment Reliability & Technical Support Implement root-cause analysis (RCA) to identify and eliminate recurring equipment issues. Drive corrective actions that improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and reduce MTTR (Mean Time To Repair). Collaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment upgrades, layout changes, and capital planning. 5. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain documentation for inspections, audits, and environmental reporting. Support corporate safety initiatives and lead hazard‑mitigation efforts. 6. Budgeting & Cost Control Develop and manage annual maintenance and facilities budgets. Track spending, control inventory, and optimize spare parts strategies. Evaluate cost-effective maintenance approaches, technologies, and vendor contracts. 7. Capital Projects & Continuous Improvement Lead or support capital improvement projects including line upgrades, facility expansions, and equipment installations. Apply lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, TPM) to optimize equipment performance and facility workflows. Partner with engineering on equipment specifications, commissioning, and acceptance testing. Knowledge You Should Bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, or related field—OR equivalent technical experience. 5–10+ years of maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing; heavy‑duty, automotive, or high‑volume assembly strongly preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems. Experience with CMMS platforms and data‑driven maintenance strategies. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, building codes, and industrial safety regulations. Exceptional Candidates Might Have Experience in Heavy Duty Truck or automotive manufacturing. Certifications: CMRP, PMP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or equivalent. Experience managing union or mixed labor environments (if applicable).
