About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving financial excellence by analyzing business performance, ensuring cost control, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an on-site role that reports to the Business Controller and collaborates closely with various teams to support the company’s financial goals.

Requirements

Accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to interpret accounting reports and explain to the finance team for projections.
2+ years of experience in a financial analyst role.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or combination of education and relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including capability to manipulate large volumes of data, lookups, index matching, and macros.
Experience with SAP (Preferred).
Experience in developing Power BI.
English language proficiency.
Initiative and problem-solving skills.
Confidence to explain concepts and propose new ideas.
Desire to improve processes.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs to identify variances and trends.
Collaborate with production teams to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.
Reconcile balance sheet and ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies, including intercompany transactions.
Evaluate financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business goals.
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement improvements.
Investigate, analyze, and prepare financial and business information representing limited phases of financial operations in support of various functional groups.
Assist in the compilation and preparation of reports, graphs, and forecasts, and analyze trends affecting various financial activities.
Provide financial information and analyses for a specific section of the organization, as assigned.
Perform analyses of business performance versus plan and propose improvement actions.
Benchmark key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar sites.
Prepare financial modeling for various hypotheses and assess impact to factory with a special focus on product/business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under-absorption analysis, and inventory analysis.
Support the preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Provide information to management by gathering and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
