About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving financial excellence by analyzing business performance, ensuring cost control, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an on-site role that reports to the Business Controller and collaborates closely with various teams to support the company’s financial goals.

Requirements

  • Accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret accounting reports and explain to the finance team for projections.
  • 2+ years of experience in a financial analyst role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or combination of education and relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including capability to manipulate large volumes of data, lookups, index matching, and macros.
  • Experience with SAP (Preferred).
  • Experience in developing Power BI.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence to explain concepts and propose new ideas.
  • Desire to improve processes.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs to identify variances and trends.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies, including intercompany transactions.
  • Evaluate financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business goals.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement improvements.
  • Investigate, analyze, and prepare financial and business information representing limited phases of financial operations in support of various functional groups.
  • Assist in the compilation and preparation of reports, graphs, and forecasts, and analyze trends affecting various financial activities.
  • Provide financial information and analyses for a specific section of the organization, as assigned.
  • Perform analyses of business performance versus plan and propose improvement actions.
  • Benchmark key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar sites.
  • Prepare financial modeling for various hypotheses and assess impact to factory with a special focus on product/business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under-absorption analysis, and inventory analysis.
  • Support the preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Provide information to management by gathering and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
