We are looking to hire a Manual Tester with 6+ years of work experience with at least 4+ years of hand-on experience with Web Application Testing. The tester will be working in a fast paced mission driven public sector project, providing them an opportunity to learn and enhance their skills.

  • Conduct manual testing of web applications.
  • Perform database testing with strong SQL knowledge.
  • Test REST and SOAP services using JAX-WS/RS.
  • Write test cases using ALM tool and understand all ALM Modules.
  • Use JIRA or related plug-ins for defect tracking and test management.
  • Run batch jobs in Linux to validate Interface files.
  • Work in an Agile methodology environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team and clients, including making presentations.
  • Analyze systems, procedures, and problems to develop solutions.
  • Support after hours when needed.
  • 6+ years of work experience in Manual Testing.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Web Application Testing.
  • Strong SQL knowledge for writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in testing REST and SOAP services.
  • Experience with ALM tools and JIRA.
  • Project experience with Agile methodology.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Experience with HHSC legacy data, databases, and applications.
  • More than one year of experience in quality assurance of projects in the Human Service/Eligibility domain.
