About The Position

ASSYST is seeking a skilled Manual QA Tester for our client in Washington D.C. Job Location: Washington D.C. (Fully Remote) Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099) Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Create and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans. Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing. Test Angular UI components across different browsers and devices. Validate RESTful APIs within microservices architecture using POSTMAN or similar tools. Conduct database validation using PostgreSQL. Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA. Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts. Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices. Perform cross-browser and responsive UI testing. Requirements: Proven years of experience in Manual QA testing across web applications. Hands-on experience with POSTMAN or similar API testing tools. Strong ability to write SQL queries for data validation in PostgreSQL. Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA. Solid understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing methodologies. Familiarity with Angular UI testing across multiple browsers and devices. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Requirements

Proven years of experience in Manual QA testing across web applications.
Hands-on experience with POSTMAN or similar API testing tools.
Strong ability to write SQL queries for data validation in PostgreSQL.
Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA.
Solid understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing methodologies.
Familiarity with Angular UI testing across multiple browsers and devices.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
