Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm plus overtime as needed
Requirements
- Inside machinist experience required
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid state issued license is .
- Ability to work with little direction while building tools or fixtures for production.
- Strong conceptual skills
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to remain results-focused in the fast-paced customer service environment.
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Setup and maintain machines in the shop for pump fabrication.
- Accurately measure, record, and draw pump components.
- Example of measuring tools (Vernier Calipers, Micrometer, Inside Micrometers and indicators).
- Read and analyze design drawings, work orders, and production schedules.
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment such as VTL, Horizontal Boring Machine, & Lathes.
- Support teardown and assembly of pumps when machining not required.
- Observe vital safety precautions for fabrications, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping of equipment and parts for storage and transportation.
- Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
- May b e responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities
