About The Position

LK Jordan & Associates is hiring a Manual Machinist for a full-time, day-shift opportunity in Houston, TX (77047) . We’re looking for a detail-oriented machinist with strong experience in operating manual lathes and mills to produce precision components. Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience operating manual lathes and mills.
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and tolerances.
Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment to machine precision parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials and tolerances.
Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments on equipment.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve machining or fit-up issues.
Ensure all work meets accuracy, quality, and finish standards.
