We are looking for a Manual Machinist to join the GGB Team! Pay Rate: $40.82 per hour plus $2.07 for shift differential. Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 3:30pm - 11:40pm. Overtime is required based on business need.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Former formal training for a vocational or craft (vocational school, certificate, etc.) or 2+ years of experience working in a machine shop.
Responsibilities
- Able to operate manual mills and manual lathes
- Operate CNC mills and lathes (into to CNC programming)
- Able to identify the proper cutting tools for high speed steel material & processes
- Understanding of punch and die operation
- Understand how to run machine shop equipment (sanders, grinders, etc.)
- Proficiency in cutting tool geometry
- Machine tolerances of .0002
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Understand the process of setting up die components, follow procedures and troubleshoot existing dies
- Able to utilize basic measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Able to operate standards in safety
- Support team members in their internal & external activities with other processes
- Other duties as assigned
