Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Manual Machinist for a day shift position in La Porte, TX. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to produce precision metal parts while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist
• Experience with CNC machines in addition to manual machining
• Strong understanding of machining techniques, tools, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Solid mathematical and problem-solving skills
• High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of shop equipment including large mills, lathes, tool post grinders, and other machinery
• Operate manual and automatic feeds to tolerances as tight as 0.0002” for final cuts
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches, applying intermediate math skills to calculate unspecified dimensions
• Complete assigned jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, lead personnel, and other departments
• Safely operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts
• Maintain LEAN objectives and support continuous improvement within the department
