About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Manual Machinist II to join our team. If you’re skilled with manual lathes and mills, confident reading blueprints, and take pride in producing high-quality parts, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience as a manual machinist
  • 3–5 years operating manual lathes and mills in a manufacturing or job shop environment
  • Advanced blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and materials
  • Ability to troubleshoot machines and perform basic maintenance
  • Experience machining steel, aluminum, and other metals
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred (training available)
  • OSHA 10/30 a plus

Responsibilities

  • Independently set up and operate manual lathes and mills
  • Produce precision parts that meet quality and production standards
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings
  • Perform tooling changes and basic machine maintenance
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
  • Monitor and maintain proper machine fluid levels
  • Accurately complete production and inspection documentation
  • Assist with training and supporting entry-level machinists as needed
  • Safely operate a forklift in compliance with company policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
