About The Position

The position involves performing manual machine operation set-ups and processes, reading blueprints, and inspecting finished parts. The role also includes operating production saws, orbit forming machines, plate rollers, and basic CNC operations.

Requirements

  • High school or general education degree (GED) required
  • One year manual machining or basic CNC operation experience or equivalent education/experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to complete standardized written documentation and correspondence
  • Ability to professionally communicate in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic electronic tasks using computer software and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Read measuring tools (dial calipers, micrometers)
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints
  • Read and interpret work orders and work instructions
  • Operate manual mills, drill presses, production saws, CNC milling machines, orbital riveter, and plate roller
  • Perform manufacturing duties to meet daily production standards of quality and quantity
  • Complete required part inspection and properly record part count and verification of quality
  • Communicate machine down-time, shortages, scrap, delays when applicable
