About The Position

The Trade Desk Analyst at U.S. Bank is responsible for bidding loan packages from correspondent lenders, which includes analyzing loan level bid tapes, applying pricing adjusters, and communicating bids. The role requires interaction with secondary market staff and involves preparing management presentations and financial reports. This position is crucial for ensuring accurate loan commitments and reconciliations within the loan origination system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically three or more years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures.
• Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and analyze data.
• Strong technical skills related to data mining and visualization tools.
• Experience in Mandatory and Best-Efforts Mortgage pricing.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel (Macros and Visual Basic), Access database development and programming, QRM, SAS.
• Considerable knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and planning.

• Experience with Correspondent Lending and Mortgage Capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Bid loan packages from correspondent lenders.
• Analyze loan level bid tapes and apply attribute pricing adjusters.
• Update applicable market changes and communicate bids.
• Prepare bid confirmations and loan level reconciliations.
• Create loan commitments on the loan origination system.
• Prepare management presentations and ad hoc financial reporting requests.
