About The Position

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Mandarin teacher to join our faculty. Our ideal candidate can speak and write fluently in Mandarin and can get students excited about learning the language in the classroom. You will develop a well-rounded curriculum that enables students to read and write in Mandarin, as well as speak both formally and conversationally. Cultural studies should be integrated throughout the curriculum to give students a perspective on the history and development of the language. This position might include being a middle school advisor, club leader, and/or Student Voice Group facilitator.

Requirements

Four-year degree and three years of teaching experience with an accredited school
Proficient in technology skills, MAC experience a plus
Ability to integrate technology in the classroom

Responsibilities

Provides timely, specific feedback that supports growth and utilizes multiple assessments and adapts instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Intentionally plans and implements instruction focused on Dawson's Student Success Skills, and systematically collects evidence of student progress toward mastery of these skills.
