As a Managing Technical Consultant, EHS Generalist (Casual) , you’ll bring subject‑matter leadership, influence major permitting decisions, and help clients build sustainable, compliant operations that stand up to scrutiny. What Your Impact Is Deliver high‑level technical guidance on air quality management and EHS regulatory compliance. Lead the development of air permits, plans, and compliance procedures for complex industrial operations. Oversee strategic permitting and compliance assurance programs for clients with multifaceted regulatory issues. Provide expert EHS compliance support across environmental media, including the Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation & Recovery Act, Oil Pollution Act, and EPCRA. Produce high‑quality recommendations, reports, and findings from site assessments and audits. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project teams, and subcontractors. Ensure all project deliverables meet ERM’s quality standards while managing scope, budget, and schedule. Maintain accountability for personal billability, sales contributions, and business unit targets. Serve as a technical authority ensuring deliverables meet ERM’s standards and align with client needs. What You’ll Bring Required BS in engineering or sciences (chemical, environmental, mechanical, or civil); MS a plus. Or equivalent experience. 6+ years (10+ years preferred) of environmental compliance experience. Proficiency with federal and state environmental regulations and environmental permitting processes. Demonstrated understanding of air emissions and emission reporting processes. Strong MS Office skills; advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Access preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write comprehensive technical reports and standards. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced consulting environment, manage multiple assignments, meet strict deadlines, and travel to client sites as needed. Requirements
