Our Opportunity We are currently seeking a Managing Engineer with expertise in fire investigation and failure analysis in our Thermal Sciences Practice in Tampa, FL . In this role, you will work to support existing consulting projects and lead new project involving failure analysis and failure prevention.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection Engineering, with a practical and theoretical understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics
• Professional engineering (PE) license, or willingness to obtain a PE
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in the area of fire investigation and failure analysis
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
• Excellent hands-on skills with experience performing field work
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, the legal profession, business, and industry

• Conducting failure analysis investigations
• Evaluating compliance with codes and standards
• Performing engineering calculations and analysis
• Planning and executing testing programs
• Preparing written reports, proposals, and presentations
• Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities
• Project management
• Domestic and possibly international travel for field work
