Check out all the ways we share news on the Spectrum News Mobile App. In your role as Managing Editor , you will collaborate directly with our multimedia journalists and photojournalists to review, critique, and edit stories before they air on TV. Each week, you will listen to story pitches, approve the most promising ones, and support our journalists as they shoot, write, and edit. Together, you'll represent what's happening in the community and across the nation, creating compelling newscasts that keep our audience informed and connect viewers with the stories that matter. Requirements

  • News or editing - 8+ years
  • Management - 5+ years
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Management, or related field, comparable television management work experience
  • Programming knowledge and an understanding of the evolving digital media landscape
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate relationships and motivate co-workers
  • Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
  • Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes

  • The base pay for this position generally is between $107,760.00 and $191,100.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
