The Managing Director of Value-Based Care Operations at Evolent Health will play a pivotal role in leading the strategy and operational aspects of Evolent Care Partners (ECP), a business unit focused on value-based care relationships with primary care practices. This position is responsible for overseeing strategic planning, operational performance, and quality outcomes across multiple states, ensuring effective management of medical expenses and performance optimization in risk-based relationships with payers and providers.

  • Lead the overall strategic planning efforts for ECP, including market growth and performance optimization.
  • Oversee key operational functions related to clinical, quality, and financial outcomes.
  • Develop a multi-year strategic roadmap for ECP in collaboration with cross-functional leaders.
  • Implement quality programs and strategies based on clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Manage ECP's Risk Adjustment program and ensure appropriate risk profile management.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to track performance metrics and manage payor contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership and management experience.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a value-based primary care organization (ACO or Managed Services Organization).
  • Familiarity with primary care risk models, including shared savings and capitation.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving performance and achieving financial targets.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments, such as startups.
  • Excellent written, computer, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Medical Expense reporting and initiative development.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactical plans.
  • Proven ability to influence clients and internal stakeholders.
  • M.B.A. or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Superior management skills with a track record of developing and mentoring leaders.
  • Experience in healthcare analytics and data management.
  • Familiarity with CMS policies and regulations related to risk adjustment.
