About The Position

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): Texas. The Managing Director Underwriter - Northbridge provides strategic oversight and direction to the CIT Northbridge Underwriting teams. Responsible for expert guidance and leadership in underwriting activities of key credit projects and initiatives. Monitors and evaluates team performance, implementing process improvements in a continuous effort to enhance operational accuracy and quality. Directs underwriting team to ensure all activities reflect current credit policies, procedures, and the credit philosophy of CIT Northbridge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Relationship Management, Credit Analysis, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, or Risk Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Relationship Management, Credit Analysis, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, or Risk Management.

Responsibilities

  • Leads underwriting teams within the CIT Northbridge joint venture.
  • Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals.
  • Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives.
  • Manages the recruiting, performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
  • Leads underwriting on selected projects and manages underwriters projects and initiatives.
  • Provides expert advice that ensures project outcomes reflect transparent, comprehensive and accurate disclosure of credit, collateral, cashflow and structural elements of a prospective borrower.
  • Responsible for overall operational performance, processes, and regulatory compliance across underwriting teams.
  • Develops and implements an ongoing process improvement program to ensure optimal performance of credit administration processes while maintaining high quality assurance and control standards.
  • Monitors and adjusts to ensure effective and efficient use of talent, technology, and resources supporting the new business development activities of CIT Northbridge.
  • Manage departmental responsibilities in a manner which contributes to attaining or exceeding financial goals as established in the annual plan approved by the members of the CIT Northbridge joint venture.
  • Facilitate transparent relationships to maintain compliance with LLC agreement with members, loan agreements with debt providers and as well as regulatory agencies.
