The Technology Investment Banking group at Wedbush is seeking an experienced Managing Director to take on a key leadership role in transaction origination within the Technology sector. This position is crucial for driving the firm's growth in this area, which has long been a focus for the firm, encompassing investment banking, equity research, sales, and trading. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record of revenue generation, responsible for originating and executing M&A mandates throughout the Technology sector. This role will be based in the San Francisco office and requires a strong presence in the office environment. Key responsibilities include initiating new client relationships with technology companies, engaging in marketing activities with existing and potential clients, and managing the deal pipeline. The Managing Director will lead all aspects of the transaction life cycle, including client sourcing, marketing, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and closing. Additionally, the role involves developing and communicating the strategic direction for the investment banking team, advising client management teams and Boards of Directors on complex corporate finance and strategic issues, and evaluating financial statements and results to recommend appropriate financing solutions. The position also requires strong internal relations with various departments to maximize cross-selling strategies, mentoring and developing team members, and performing other duties as required.
