You will collaborate closely with senior TVG leadership, the TVG Funds team, and adjacent OTPP asset classes, but investment decisions and portfolio ownership resides within TVG. What Success Looks Like Within the first 12–24 months, you will have: Expanded our access to high-quality companies and founders not already in our network Led and closed compelling later-stage investments Demonstrated strong board engagement and value-add through inflection points Raised the bar for analytical rigor and decision quality across the team Developed junior investors through direct coaching and meaningful ownership We are building the next phase of our North America platform and this role is expected to contribute materially to that evolution. The Profile We are seeking an investor who brings: 12+ years of direct investing experience in later-stage venture or growth equity A demonstrated track record leading minority investments in scaled technology companies Meaningful board experience and exposure through exit Deep, credible relationships across Silicon Valley and the broader North American technology ecosystem Strong transaction leadership and negotiation capabilities We will not consider candidates whose experience is limited to early-stage investing or those without direct underwriting responsibility. Equally important: Experience investing through multiple market cycles with visible evidence of judgment shaped by volatility High standards, intellectual independence, and accountability A collaborative, strengths-based leadership style suited to a global institutional platform We focus primarily on later-stage technology assets across a wide range of sectors, however, we are generally less active in consumer internet and health tech. Why Teachers’ Teachers’ offers something distinctive in Silicon Valley: Long-duration capital that allows us to invest through cycles The ability to write large checks and lead A disciplined, globally integrated investment culture A truly global platform with deep institutional resources A clear purpose: delivering retirement security to 340,000 teachers who rely on us for long-term financial stability in retirement Our capital is not transient. It represents the deferred earnings of educators. That responsibility shapes how we underwrite risk, support companies, and build enduring value. This is an opportunity to combine institutional scale with entrepreneurial impact. Compensation Base salary range: USD $300,000–$380,000 , plus eligibility for Teachers’ annual incentive plan and Long Term Incentive Plan compensation programs.
