The role emphasizes building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with the bank’s high-value and strategic clients, providing strategic financial advice, and ensuring exceptional service. This involves analyzing market trends, client industry developments, and competitive positioning to inform client solution strategies, collaborating with internal teams to define suitable products, and leveraging analytical tools to grow portfolios that exceed ROE thresholds. Furthermore, the Managing Director must ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance policies, foster a culture aligned with BMO’s purpose, values, and strategy, and promote diversity and inclusion. The role also encompasses building interdependent teams, attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, and improving team performance through coaching and recognition.
