About The Position

Synergy Management Group (SMG) is an elite, full-service consulting firm that partners with institutional investors, portfolio companies, and growing businesses. We specialize in sourcing, due diligence, operations/value creation, and strategic exits, working exclusively with top-tier private equity and venture capital clients. SMG has a proven track record of successful engagements with firms managing over $100B in assets. After a brief pause in operations, we are now in a re-launch phase, focused on expanding SMG’s reputation through strategic hires and key partnerships to drive growth. Our prior engagements with top institutional investors have validated our business model and product-market fit, positioning us to scale operations with a fresh capital raise.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital, with a proven track record of successfully raising $500K–$5M+ for early-stage, high-caliber companies.
  • Network: Extensive connections to high-net-worth investors, family offices, and other seed-stage investors.
  • Licensing: Active SEC/FINRA broker-dealer licenses (Series 7, 63, and 79 preferred) in good standing.
  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and investor relations expertise. A self-starter who can independently manage the capital raise process while collaborating closely with the CEO.
  • Transparency: Ability to navigate the re-launch phase of a previously paused business, understanding the dynamics of a startup with validated market fit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Capital Raise: Spearhead a seed-stage fundraising round, managing the entire process from investor material development to closing deals.
  • Investor Outreach & Negotiation: Identify, target, and engage elite, high-net-worth investors, family offices, and other relevant seed-stage investors. Present investment opportunities and negotiate deal terms.
  • Develop Investor Materials: Utilize SMG’s existing marketing materials, collateral, and related assets to develop and finalize SEC/FINRA-compliant investor materials, including the pitch deck, financials, and use of proceeds.
  • Strategic Planning: Define and execute the capital raise strategy, identify ideal investor targets, and structure optimal deal terms.
  • Collaborate with the CEO: Work directly with the CEO to ensure alignment on goals, strategy, and fundraising execution.
