About The Position

We're looking for a Managing Director, Digital Transformation to build and lead an elite practice embedded directly within the operations of our Strategic Accounts. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has spent their career at the intersection of enterprise technology and strategic business impact. In this role, you'll own solutions delivery, build a team of specialist engineers, and hold executive relationships at the CTO level and below across the enterprise. You are as comfortable in a boardroom presenting a transformation roadmap as you are in a sprint review holding engineers accountable to delivery standards. Work Arrangement: Hybrid structure balancing time between client sites and HQ1 in Kendall Square. Moderate travel required to support key account relationships across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience spanning enterprise technology consulting, software engineering leadership, and senior client management
  • Background at a Big 4 firm or equivalent elite technology consultancy strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record leading complex digital transformation programs for Fortune 500 / Fortune 100 organizations
  • Broad fluency across the modern enterprise technology stack — cloud infrastructure, data platforms, APIs, microservices, AI/ML, and enterprise integration
  • Proven ability to engage credibly from the engineering level up to the C-suite — technically grounded, strategically minded
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing technical teams in client-facing, outcome-driven environments
  • Strong commercial instincts — skilled at framing value, managing scope, and converting relationships into long-term partnerships

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a Forward Deployed Engineering, embedded consulting, or technical account leadership capacity
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, developer tooling, or enterprise digital transformation at scale
  • Track record of building and scaling consulting or professional services practices from the ground up
  • History of operating effectively in high-growth, ambiguous startup or scale-up environments alongside enterprise rigor
  • Executive presence and communication style that earns trust at the first meeting and deepens it over time

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow senior relationships across a portfolio of Fortune 100 accounts, engaging at the CTO, CIO, and VP Engineering level
  • Lead executive business reviews, C-suite presentations, and board-level briefings that translate technical progress into business outcomes
  • Shape digital transformation roadmaps alongside client leadership — bringing our platform's capabilities to bear on their highest-priority challenges
  • Identify and develop account expansion opportunities; support pre-sales efforts for new enterprise engagements
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of forward deployed engineers embedded across client environments
  • Set and enforce standards for project delivery, engineering quality, and client engagement across all active accounts
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point — able to engage hands-on when complex integration or delivery challenges arise
  • Balance multiple concurrent enterprise engagements, ensuring each is appropriately resourced, scoped, and governed
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and executive leadership to define the strategy and expansion of the FDE function
  • Establish delivery frameworks, KPIs, and feedback loops that drive continuous improvement across the practice
  • Recruit, develop, and retain senior engineering talent — building a team culture defined by technical excellence and client accountability
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy, thought leadership, and the development of reusable delivery assets and IP
