About The Position

This Managing Director role in Corporate Banking focuses on Healthcare within TD Securities. The position involves developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships at senior executive levels, targeting clients and revenue opportunities, and striking a balance between short- and long-term revenue priorities. The role requires developing client-relevant transaction ideas, coordinating business origination teams to win mandates, and acting as lead on major deals to generate senior-level revenue. The Managing Director will also provide leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues, ensuring continuous development of industry knowledge and profile, and setting overall strategy for the industry group. TD Securities offers a wide range of capital markets products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients globally, with over 6,500 professionals operating out of 40 cities. The firm acquired Cowen Inc. in 2023 to enhance its U.S. equities business. Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or related discipline
  • 10 years direct experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of trusted advisor relationships at senior executive levels (CEO, CFO, Board, Treasurer+)
  • Target clients and revenue opportunities and strike appropriate balance between short- and long-term revenue priorities.
  • Develop client-relevant transaction ideas by leveraging successful transaction expertise or generating new ideas.
  • Effectively coordinate business origination teams to win lead-managed mandates.
  • Has primary client coverage responsibility and senior level of product knowledge for a select group of clients in the Technology Industry
  • Act as lead on major deals/transactions with key clients, and generate senior level of revenue
  • Provides leadership/mentorship to group and ensures continuous development of industry knowledge and profile
  • Sets overall strategy for Technology industry group.
  • Oversees execution on transactions.
  • Guides and develops more junior colleagues through training, mentorship, guidance and leadership by example, and helps them to understand their role in the firm’s success.
